Reading Superman: Last Son and Superman: Braniac

You know, I remember when these events were happening, but I don’t think I ever sat down to actually read them. I was too busy with Morrison’s Batman I guess.

It’s funny, I always forget that Geoff Johns was pretty much running the Superman line in addition to Green Lantern pre-crisis (and even Flash, towards the very end). He set up a lot of interesting plot chains, as he so often does. Johns really does a great job of giving the separate “universes” of DC characters very coherent. Sometimes this can be a detriment, like how every Green Lantern story is still about the different corps- but overall Johns makes it really easy for new readers to get into these worlds.

I’m getting all excited for the animated version of Superman: Braniac
