Just like how Blackest Night had a bunch of cool moments that didn’t really make sense and then somehow something happens and the bad guy gets defeated and willpower or something emotions life brightest death darkest life yadda yadda
well, same thing happens here
A bunch of really awesome but confusing things happen and theres a happy ending (unexpectedly so). The ending, more so than the climax, is excellent- very Gurren Lagann.
So the writing isn’t great but somehow it just… works, I guess. And then we’re treated to about 10 pages of people congratulating Geoff Johns and a lot of it actually sounds sincere!
But then the best part- a comprehensive guide to all the shit that led up to this issue and it helps a fuckton.
Okay I lied. The best part is the reveal of the Orange Lantern Oath.
These new post-Geoff Johns Green Lantern recruits are adorable
My favorite is tentacle-goggles-head, followed shortly thereafter by stripey-orange-dude
They’re so tiny
Is Green Lantern Corps gonna become Green Lantern Academy?
Joker and Green Lantern in-game for Injustice: Gods Among Us
Green Lantern is a little less fortunate, looks like they took tips from the movie version and gave him an alien bacon suit again.
I don’t think i’ve talked about it much before on tumblr but I enjoy this show throughly.
Cartoons tend to have to streamline comic book story lines to make them more marketable obviously, but that also makes them much better introductions to the comics in a way. This show should be canon is what i’m saying. But with more implied violence.
Saint Swagger is really cool in this episode.
I’ve probably posted this like 5 times I love it
Would love to see Grant write more Green Lantern. I think he is having an issue of Action about the Justice League, though.
Black Hand as Final Fantasy 6 Last Boss
That sneaky bastard Geoff Johns managed to seed Aya and the Interceptor from the New Green Lantern cartoon into the series last year
